ORCHESTRE MINIATURE IN THE PARK
Das Orchestre Miniature in the Park besteht aus ungefähr 30 Menschen, die auf kleinen Instrumenten musizieren und mit 'bunt' wahrlich sehr farblos beschrieben wären. Seit 2007 erspielen sie sich an allen denkbaren und undenkbaren Orten die Herzen der Menschen mit Liedern über Sonne und den Sommer.
Das OMP ist das erste und einzige bunte Miniaturinstrumenteorchester der Welt. Dreißig Menschen von überall machen Alternative-Pop auf Kinderinstrumenten.
The Orchestre Miniature in the Park consists of about 30 people, who play music with small instruments and it would be very colourless if they are described with 'colourful'. Since 2007 at all imaginable and unimaginable places the Orchestra affects the hearts of people with songs about the sun and the summer.
OMP is the first and only colourful Miniature-Instruments-Orchestra in the world. Thirty People from everywhere make Alternative-Pop with children instruments.
Bandgeschichte
Das Orchestre Miniature in the Park (auch OMP) wurde 2007 von Klaus Cornfield (Throw That Beat In The Garbagecan! / Katze) gegründet, um mit einfachen Mitteln in Parks Musik machen zu können. Seitdem ist die Besetzung stetig gewachsen und das Repertoire umfasst um die 40 Lieder, sowohl Eigenkompositionen als auch Cover. Die Besetzung pro Konzert besteht aus 15 bis 35 Menschen.
Das Orchester tourte bereits in Frankreich, Schweden, Polen, Dänemark, Österreich, Italien, Niederlande und der Schweiz. Zwischen 2010 und 2012 wurden zwei Tourfilme veröffentlicht. Es war schon im ZDF Morgenmagazin, auf der Fusion, dem Haldern Pop Festival, dem Lollapallooza Berlin, auf der Gorch Fock, in Christiana, auf der re:publica, hat Theater-Festivals eröffnet, und konnte in Kindergärten und Museen genauso begeistern wie im Literarischen Colloquium Berlin.
2015 erschien das Debutalbum SONGS ABOUT THE SUN als CD, LP und Download auf dem Label 6:5 im Vertrieb bei Rough Trade Distribution. Es enthält 10 Eigenkompositionen sowie 3 Cover.

The Orchestre Miniature in the Park (also OMP) was founded in 2007 by Klaus Cornfield (Throw That Beat In The Garbagecan! / Katze) to make music in parks with simple means. Since then, the line-up has grown steadily and the repertoire comprises around 40 songs, both original compositions and covers. The line-up for each concert consists of 15 to 35 people.
The orchestra has already toured in France, Sweden, Poland, Denmark, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Two Tour Films were filmed between 2010 and 2012. It has appeared on ZDF Morgenmagazin, at Fusion, the Haldern Pop Festival, Lollapallooza Berlin, on the Gorch Fock, in Christiana, at re:publica, has opened theater festivals, and has delighted audiences in kindergartens and museums as well as at the Literary Colloquium Berlin.
In 2015 the first Album SONGS ABOUT THE SUN was released as CD, LP and Download at the Label 6:5 via Rough Trade Distribution. It contains ten original songs and three cover songs.
